“The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely.”
― C.G. Jung
Everyone–and by everyone I mean not me–thinks I need to write an “About Me” page. I have balked at doing this because every time I’ve tried to write this page is seems so trite and canned and really not me. So I found the Carl Jung quote above and thought, “That’s it exactly!”
But I’m working on it. 🙄
I am a woman. Not a little dainty thing you might call a lady but a woman. A real, bona-fide, brash, loving, creative, powerful human in woman-form. I love being a woman–mostly. I’m not a frou-frou woman. I bathe, brush my teeth and hair, sometimes remember to put on moisturizer but make up, and frilly clothes, and getting pampered just do not suit me. I’m more of a get up and go, let’s just do it, what the F***! sort of woman.
But deep down inside, I thrill to words of poets and songsters; love the blues, jazz and bluegrass; would live on chocolate and bread given the chance; care deeply and passionately about things I care deeply and passionately about; love with my whole being but try not to hate; excel in cooking, baking, crocheting and knitting; want to write and be read.
Professionally I am now a Certified Professional Life Coach with ACC level certification through the International Coach Federation. I continue to work as a Family Nurse Practitioner as a Health Coach. I also am a Shamanic Coach and an Intuitive Eating Coach.
What this means is that I not only can help with your health and wellness issues, I can help you with your chronic illnesses, or life situations in which you would like to find transformation.
I believe we, as a species, can become spiritually and socially evolved and I hope with all my heart I am right!
I am married to David, a man who understands me and works really hard at accepting me just as I am. He has taken on the role of house husband as I’ve taken on the role of coach, nurse practitioner and author. There is no one I love more or care about more deeply or sometimes get irritated with to extremes!
I have three children who are marvelous beyond anything I could have imagined before beginning motherhood. They have graced me with three adorable and adored grandchildren for which I am eternally grateful.
I have a marvelous dog, Lucy, that I adore and would love to have a cat but I tend to be allergic and David hates cats. Really.
I love to sing even badly, I love to play the ukulele but not well, I love to play piano but not as well as I used to. Mostly I love to write and share and be.
